Leveling for Dummies

Introduction

Hi guys, it is DragonNestEX again and today I will be talking about levelling in Dragon Nest. "Why are you not boosting us?" you ask? I am using my phone to type this and I don't see anyone playing Dragon Nest on your phone.

Methods of leveling

Before I go on, I would be elaborating on two ways of levelling in this game.
  • Questing
Questing is called that as it uses quests taken for NPCs. A fast way of earning exp, I prefer it to the conventional method of boosting as it is both free and you can earn money from it too! A downside however is that you may run out of quests from LVL 49 onwards.
  • Boosting
Boosting involves a high level character to train you in exchange for loots, money and keys. It requires running an endless amount of dungeons in master or abyss mode in order to rack up the exp. Not recommended for people with low amount of backup cash, it is a preferred method by those people with the bling to back it up.

 The HIGHWAY to levelling

Alright! Now that we learnt the two ways of leveling, I will now show you the leveling in groups: 1-10 , 10-24 , 24-40 , 40-50, 50-60 and 60-70.
  • 1-10
Completing all quests in Paerie Town or Mana Ridge (whichever is your starting town) is top priority. I don't care if you want to be boosted, just do it. Reason being you would not be able to proceed to Calderock Village if you don't. Should take approximately half an hour to an hour to breeze past this part if you are a warrior... probably an hour on clerics... XD!
  • 10-24
Ahhh... Calderock Village. You can now choose best between the two methods I talked about earlier. If you chosen questing, you would find that you would run out of quests at LVL 23 so just give up a bit of keys for that one level. If you chose boosting the maps you is suggested for you are Sigh Canyon (SC) abyss for LVL 10-16 and Dark Tower Magic Institute (DTMI) abyss for 16-24. However do not forget to change your job at LVL 15! The bunnies also give a key per run for this levels.
Sigh Canyon(SC)
Dark Magic Tower Institute(DTMI)
  • 24-40
At this point of the game, if you are following the storyline is when you get on the ship to Saint Haven, start a blossoming relationship with Argenta who has a tsun personality, meet Geriant, Argenta's twin and start two-timing between them. Just Kidding! If you are still on the questing path, go strong! For boostees, however, the best dungeon for now is Dark Overlord Keep (DOK) abyss/ Flooded Downstream Ruins (FDR) abyss for LVL 24-32. Take your pick. Afterwards switch over to Forsaken Islet Core (FIC) abyss and Gates to City of Death (GCD) abyss for the remainder of this portion. Nobody likes to boost at these levels as there are no free key drops from this point onwards and the loots at these point are all crap except the occasional Gold Bunny.
  • 40-50
Riverwort Ruins (RR) abyss or Dragon Follower Base (DFB) abyss pretty much at these point for boostees. For questees, you will probably run out of quests at the last point (namely LVL 49).
  • 50-60
Grinding hell from these point on with a few quests along the way to relieve boredom. Meteor Crash Site Boundaries (MSCB) Master is the main part of your levelling so hopefully you will get used to the map.
  • 60-70
Finally LVL60! I applaud you for your effort! You should probably get your daily quests (DQ) for your levelling as the above part is not hellish enough! You will probably have to do your DQs every day and grind your way through many of the same dungeon. BTW, the main part of your grinding is Golden Meadow Hard or Master if you have a pro booster. Cry as your daily Fatigue runs out after 10 runs making your life harder than it already is. The average levelling speed is 2 hours per level with 2 minutes per run, so its going to take you at least a full day to rush past this.
  • LVL 70!
Congratulations on reaching LVL 70! Pat yourself on the back and continue onwards with the gearing yourself for this cap!
